Marianne Lowe
Dentist
BChD University of Leeds 1998
GDC: 74477 Marianne qualified from Leeds Dental Institute in 1998 and has over 25 years of experience in dentistry. Following NHS vocational training and work in general dental practice, she gained extensive experience in hospital, community and emergency dental services, including a role as a Senior House Officer in Maxillofacial Surgery and over ten years providing emergency dental care in Nottingham.
Marianne has a particular interest in periodontology and the treatment of gum disease. She accepts referrals from fellow dentists for periodontal assessment and treatment and is passionate about helping patients maintain healthy gums and natural teeth for life. She is a member of the British Society of Periodontology and continues to expand her knowledge through ongoing postgraduate education, including training with Ian Dunn.
Alongside her periodontal work, Marianne has undertaken extensive postgraduate training in restorative and aesthetic dentistry, including a Postgraduate Certificate in Contemporary Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry. She has also trained internationally with Dr Didier Dietschi in Geneva and completed advanced facial aesthetics training with Dr Bob Khanna.
Marianne’s background in community dentistry has given her extensive experience caring for adults and children with additional needs, including patients living with autism, dementia, learning disabilities and complex medical conditions. Patients appreciate her kind, caring and positive approach, and her ability to help even nervous patients feel relaxed and supported.
Outside of dentistry, Marianne enjoys travelling, walking her labradoodle Mabel, reading and spending time with family and friends. She enjoys keeping active through rock climbing and regular five-a-side football, although her enthusiasm may exceed her footballing ability.
