Terms and Conditions

We are always pleased to assist our patients whenever we can. This document gives details of our terms and conditions of service. If, however, you have any queries or need clarification, please contact us and a member of our team will be happy to help you.


All treatment and dental care at Smilestyle Signature are provided on a private contract basis. There is no NHS provision.


Written estimates are provided for all planned treatments and the fees remain valid over the whole period of treatment provided it is commenced within 3 months of the date of the estimate. Every effort is made to give cost estimates which are as accurate as possible based on the information available to us at the consultation or treatment planning appointments. Treatment plans and associated cost estimates may need to be reviewed as your treatment progresses and the issues become clearer. You will be advised of any additional items needed to be added to the course of treatment and any additional fees which will be applied at the fee rate at the time of adjustment.

Payment Terms

Fees for consultations and treatments are due on the same day and can be made by cheque, cash, credit or debit card. For longer courses of treatment, the fees may be spread into instalments over the duration of the treatment time, with the final balance is due on the agreed day of completion of the treatment. Finance packages can be set up to manage the treatment fees over a longer period of time, but these must be agreed at the time of preparation of the treatment estimate. Any variation of payment terms can only be agreed prior to commencement of the treatment.

If any account, whether interim or final and in relation to any type of work remains unpaid for 30 days we shall be entitled to charge interest on the amount outstanding from the date of the invoice at 2% per calendar month.

We have the facility to accept payment by credit or debit card, cheque and direct bank transfer (BACS). In normal circumstances, we only accept cash sums up to a limit of £750.

Fees for new patient consultation, direct hygiene and emergency appointments are to be paid at the time of booking.  A deposit at the time of booking long appointments may be asked. Failure to keep the appointment or short notice cancellation will result in the deposit being lost.

Replacement Free of Charge

Should a fault arise with an item of treatment which necessitates its replacement within 12 months. We will replace it free of charge unless

The treatment was temporary
It was provided against our advice
The replacement was necessary because of an accident
A different treatment is needed because a satisfactory replacement is not possible

Cancelling Appointments

If you have to cancel appointments we need at least 48 hours ( 2 business days) notice. This means appointments for a Monday must be notified by the Thursday.  Cancelling with less notice may incur a charge if we cannot use the time for other patients.

Failed Appointments

Failure to keep an appointment WILL incur a charge.

Emergency Arrangements

Whenever possible please contact us about emergencies during surgery hours and at the earliest time. If an emergency arises out of hours then please telephone the practice on 0115 9003034. There is a contact number for the advice line and on-call dentist.
